When you use StrainRx, we collect:

• Account data: Name, email address, ZIP code, and conditions you provide on signup.
• Advertising ID (Ad ID): A randomly generated identifier stored in your browser. Used for cannabis business marketing attribution and referral payout tracking. Not linked to your name or email.
• Session data: Pages visited, strains searched, dispensary clicks, and search queries.
• Referral codes: If you arrived via a referral link, we record that code to credit the referring user.
• Approximate location: Coarse geo coordinates (3 decimal places) from your browser, used to surface nearby dispensaries. Never stored on our servers in identifiable form.

2. How we use Advertising IDs

Your Advertising ID (Ad ID) is used to:

• Attribute dispensary visits to the StrainRx referral that drove them, enabling payout to referring users.
• Allow cannabis business advertisers to understand which strains and conditions drive traffic to their listings.
• Deliver condition-targeted dispensary recommendations (e.g., showing pain-focused dispensaries to users who searched for pain relief).

Ad IDs are pseudonymous. They are shared with cannabis business advertisers on cannabislicense.directory in aggregate form only. We never share Ad IDs alongside your name, email, or any personally identifying information.

3. How we use your data

• To operate and improve the StrainRx service
• To send price alerts and savings reports (Pro members)
• To calculate and pay referral credits
• To provide cannabis businesses with aggregated, anonymized marketing analytics
• To communicate with you about your account

4. What we never do

• We never sell your personal data
• We never share your name, email, or personal details with advertisers
• We never use your data for purposes unrelated to cannabis matching and pricing
• We never retain location data beyond the current session

5. Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Search history and event logs are retained for 12 months. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard settings.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@cannabislicense.directory. You may opt out of Ad ID tracking by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site.

7. Age requirement

StrainRx is intended for adults aged 21 and older in jurisdictions where cannabis is legal. By using this service, you confirm you meet the minimum age requirement in your location.
